Urth Caffé, Melrose Ave., Los Angeles
So this place is famous for its boba. Boba is that black pearly jelly that people usually mix in drinks (the pictures are below), and it’s really good when you just feel like chewing stuff while drinking your cold drinks.
Ok, let’s start with the name of the cafe itself. Apparently, in Welsh, urth means earth, and caffe means coffee. So this name was chosen because the restaurant serves food and beverages that are organic, so everything chosen are really fresh and serves to the health of the customers.
On with the drinks. So I only ordered drinks because the drinks are the ones Urth Caffe is famous for. The food is basically… Typical? I mean, they’re good, but I guess you can find food like this anywhere else. The drinks that I ordered were Organic Blended Green Tea Boba, which was $4.75, and Divine Spice Chai Boba on Ice, which was $3.75.
The drink above was the Chai. It was okay… It tasted like tea with milk, and that was it. I wouldn’t order it again… Maybe it’s because it was on ice. My friend recommended me to order the blended one, but I forgot to ask that to the waiter, so, my bad :(
The one below here was REALLY REALLY GOOD! I would definitely come back again to get this drink. This was the Green Tea, and yes, it was blended. The taste was like a typical Starbucks green tea with creamy flavor. The boba gave a little distinct taste to it, kind of like, unsweetened tea? Yes. I would definitely recommend this drink to people who love cream flavors.
