The Corner House, Sydney

If you do decide to visit The Corner House at Bondi Beach, go on a Sunday evening. It’s when they have their Sunday roast, and lucky for me, this month (week?)’s roast meat is 5-hour cooked lamb shoulder, complete with sides. When you come over, though, make sure you made a reservation, and don’t come in too late, otherwise they would have ran out of the roast. I read about this place in a magazine, commending it for its cocktails, so I naturally didn’t expect much of the food.

The ‘after’ picture was taken literally 10 minutes after the food arrived (I shared it with my dad, cos the dish is for 2). It was the best dish I’ve ever had in Sydney.

Bubur Kwang Tung, Jakarta

Kwang Tung is located in Jakarta’s chinatown, Glodok. And it has the best bubur (rice porridge) I have ever tasted:

I ordered the Seafood Porridge with cakwe (chinese fried fritter dough thing), century eggs, and some soy sauce on the side. Now I really don’t know what makes Bubur Kwang Tung so good, I mean, it looks like regular porridge. But anyone who has tried it would know that this 24-hour bubur joint is worth the painfully long drive to Glodok.

Charlie & Co. Burgers, Sydney

HELLO

Okay two things.

1. I haven’t posted anything lately cos I’ve been doing alot of school stuff and my camera ran out of battery and I left the charger in Jakarta, so this is actually from a restaurant I visited almost 6 months ago

2. I don’t have Adobe Photoshop T_T so I can’t edit the pictures using the new watermark. I usually depend on Indita/Patricia to edit my photos, and these have already been edited before the new watermark was established, so I’m just gonna publish them

Anyhoo. Charlie & Co. is a new burger joint in a new mall in the city, with a menu designed by Justin North, renowned chef of Sydney’s own Becasse. I tried the burger and it was good, but what is definitely worth mentioning here are the fries. When you visit Charlie & Co., you MUST order the French Fries with Cheese and Truffle Oil.

The white crumbly stuff on the perfectly crisp fries? That’s cheese. It’s so good you guys. Seriously.

If you’re into fries, give Charlie&Co. a try (that almost rhymed)

Chat Thai, Sydney

I visited this place a long time ago, but never got around to publishing the article for it, so :

i love the interior! Plus you can see people making food while waiting for the inevitable loOoOOOOong line. We ordered the Rice with pork belly and fried egg, Green Chicken Curry, and Thai Spring Roll
