Super Duper, San Francisco

Delicious burger place where you can custom make your burgers! YAAY!

Super Duper is located across Neimann Marcus and very close to Union Square. It’s basically in the middle of the city; a very strategic place.

My friend was really excited to show me the place. I pretty much understand why; cool place, humorous signs, cute cashiers, cool decor, organic and cute cashiers.

This is the front of the brochure (sorry for the quality):

As you can see, everything’s supposed to be all natural and that good stuff.

I decided to order a burger with bacon, tomato, lettuce and caramelized onion, with fries and garlic on the side. For those of you on a diet, BEWARE!

Here’s a better quality picture I posted on Instagram:

Everything was served on a tin serve plate, as shown above, which may make it look barbaric when you eat it, but I don’t mind :)

The burger was good, but the fries were especially delicious! Other than garlic, I think it also has a little cheese. Although I’m not sure.

Another fatty order was the vanilla/oreo milkshake. Very creamy and fresh!

That was a really good day for my stomach!

Try it out!

Crown & Crumpet, San Francisco

This post is LOOOOONG overdue. I went to San Francisco for spring break this year and only have only gotten around to write this now. Hahah so sorry.

Anyway, there is this place called Ghirardelli Square in SF, and yes I am talking about the chocolate brand. It basically is a mini tourist attraction with a lot of chocolate/sweets-related restaurants. I went here because my friend thought the place was cute and we were both craving for high tea.

When I came in to Crown & Crumpet, I thought the place was very cute and girly. Pink and glittery, but cute nonetheless.

I came warning my friend that I was feeling cranky, only because it was almost my time-o-the-month, if you know what I mean. Oddly and thankfully enough, the place serves a special tea for us girls’ mournful moments, called the PMTea. Oh and my tea had glitter in it (!!!!!)

We decided to order the high tea set, which includes one tea pot for each person (selection of one tea per person) and a set of bites of sweets and savories, which included egg sandwich (right one), cheese sandwich (brown one), raisins and chocolate scones (the ones on the second tier), and assorted desserts. Everything was very delicious!

We also got an order of pig in a blanket, which is basically pork sausage wrapped in puff pastry, served with mustard and vinegar salad.

All in all, our experience in this restaurant was very nice and delightful. I would definitely come here again, if ever I go back to San Francisco. I would even bring friends! So you should too :)

Belly Good Cafe & Crepes, San Francisco

You know how sometimes a simple piece of food can make you feel so happy? Well this is one of them.

If the name already makes you giddy, wait until you see the food!

After a very filling lunch, my friend and I decided to eat some more, just to see if our stomachs would explode. We were in Japan Town in San Francisco, so we decided to just walk around the area to see if there is a dessert place we could go to. We entered the mall and we saw this place.

I found out that, even though there were so many choices in the menu, we are allowed to make our own topping combinations. So I decided to order a sweet crepe with Nutella, strawberries and whipped cream.

After waiting for about five minutes, this is what I got:

SO CUTE!

The crepe tasted just like a normal crepe, but the fact that it looks so cute compensates for the lack of amazingness in the food.

The Rotunda, San Francisco

One afternoon, my friend Nina and I decided to spend our money and have a fancy late lunch, so we went to The Rotunda at the Neiman Marcus building in Union Square, San Francisco.

The restaurant was really pretty! It’s basically an indoor balcony, so the tables were surrounding the hole which overlooks the Neiman Marcus lobby. If you’re facing the other way, then you would look at the Union Square.

First we got a complementary chicken broth soup with a cheese scone. Very light and delicious!

Then we got popovers served with strawberry butter! It was sooo good. The strawberry made the butter slightly sweet, which was very refreshing. I might just attempt to make one myself.

I ordered the lobster sandwich, which had rocket (I don’t know what this is called in American terms) and avocado. This was surprisingly light!

For dessert: Pistachio creme brulee. OMG SO DELICIOUS! We were supposed to share this but I ended up eating most of it.

In conclusion, if you wanna eat real fancy at a pretty place and you happen to be in San Francisco, you should go to The Rotunda!

Prospect, San Francisco

Hi!

So Prospect is the sister chain of Boulevard, the San Francisco restaurant that basically highlighted my trip. This was a while ago, so I forgot the taste of the individual dishes, however, I remember that they were good overall. The price was a little bit more expensive than Boulevard ($55 for 3 courses and a drink) and the portion was definitely smaller, but it was still good.

Here are the pictures:
