And that’s that. I love that in its first week alone Twitteritos has been a modest success! Thanks to everyone who tweeted us! If you wanna be part of this, just tweet us where you’re eating (please include the city and country to save us the trouble of Googling tee-hee), tell us a little something about the place and include the hashtag #Tasteritos or mention us at @Tasteritos (don’t forget to follow us, too!). It would be awesome if you include a picture!

If you have questions regarding Twitteritos or just Tasteritos in general, don’t hesitate to leave us a message, e-mail us or tweet us. If tweeting isn’t your thing and you’d rather write a review, we’d absolutely love that, too! Just submit an article or e-mail it to us.

Once again, thanks everyone! :)

Palombo Pastry Shop, Bronx, NY

As only a minority of you know (hence the telling-of-information) my school is in the Bronx. I know it seems really dodgy, especially since most of you probably have not been there (and why should you? It’s the Bronx -_-), but my school’s area is actually pretty okay. We have Little Italy just a few blocks away in a street called Arthur Avenue, and that’s where students usually hang out if they feel like eating out around the campus.

I don’t go to one Italian restaurant more than once, mainly because I have not found one that’s… outstanding, but also because I don’t want to bother to remember the location and the name. But there is one place that I go to every once in a while, and that is the Palombo Pastry Shop.

(the two pictures above are not owned by Tasteritos)

It’s an Italian cake shop, obviously. What makes it special is it’s originality, because it is truly Italian, not just a shop claiming to be Italian just because it has tiramisu, cannoli, and other stuff like that. This one is legit Italian.

I have had a lot of their cakes and coffees, but the ones that are worth mentioning are the chocolate dipped cannoli, original tiramisu, almond tiramisu, and the cappuccino.

Here are some pictures I took from the shop:

And this is the cake I bought one day:

So if you are ever in the Bronx, or you go to Fordham University and weirdly have not been to Palombo, you should definitely come here. It’s worth the try!
