More of the Juicy Naam Chocolates

I went to this store on 63rd and 2nd called Health Nut. So it obviously sells healthy stuff. It was such a heavenly place for someone hungry (I was hungry) cos you wont feel guilty eating stuff from the store, because you know that they’re healthy anyway. Like, you somehow get to think that you won’t get fat. Lol.

So I bought Juicy Naam’s chocolates - Cashew Goji Berry, Almond Fig Spice, and Fleur de Sel.

Just to give a short background on Juicy Naam chocolates, they are basically made out of everything organic. Juicy Naam itself is a company that promotes healthy lifestyle; they sell supplements, snacks, food, and they even have yoga classes in New York and also juice bars. Back to the chocolates, they are made out of handmade raw vegan chocolate and the sweetness is from oil, because they are free of refined sugar, cholesterol, gluten, diary, and soy (everything is written on the boxes, which are all recycled!).

On with the review…

Cashew Goji Berry

The cashew is subtle, because the goji berries dominate the whole flavor of the chocolate. I can definitely feel the crunch of the nut, but the taste is very fruity from the gojis. The chocolate itself is quite sweet compared to the others.

Almond Fig Spice

Now this one is really fruity! It has currants, chewy figs, and cranberries, which obviously create the tinge-y sweet taste. I can definitely smell the cinnamon. And the almond is almost non-existent. They didn’t chop off the almonds, so they come in whole.

Fleur de Sel

I have to say, this is the most interesting chocolate I’ve ever had! I guess fleur de sel means that it contains salt? Because it’s salty! It says on the box that the chocolate is flourished with Pink Himalayan Salt. Some people love this (hint: Joey Bunny), but for me it’s just too weird. Um, I really don’t know… I guess I would be too biased to make further review, but this is basically what I think of it.

So that’s it! I think these were the only Juicy Naam chocolates available in the store (at least the ones I haven’t tried before), but if I do find some more, I will make more reviews on them.
